July in the Magic City

At the end of July we celebrated my MHS 10-year class reunion. Even though we were home for four days, it went by way too fast. A majority of the great 8 were together and I got to see a lot of other friends that I haven't seen for so long. And, we didn't leave the reunion empty handed. Along with a lot of new memories, Justin also won a pair of MN Twins tickets. Right now we are planning a trip to MPLS at the end of August for a game and to go to the MN State Fair.

Here are a few pics from the weekend (of course, they are all mostly of Brooke Marie).

I was 3rd place winner at the beer pong tournament during the reunion.

July 2009 - Swedish Institute, MPLS

We are finally spending a weekend at home. We've been quite busy the last few weeks....Las Vegas, Maple Lake, Minneapolis. Instead of having a relaxing weekend at home, Justin is busy hanging doors in the basement (our last step before it's totally finished) and I'm busy chasing around after Brooke. She's a crawling maniac and is pulling herself up on anything and everything possible (the walls, the front door, the dog, etc.). In fact, she's trying to pull herself over her baby gate right now....

Here are a few pictures from our recent trip to Minneapolis for Jesse & Tara Raub's wedding. It was absolutely beautiful. They had it at the Swedish Institute.

Summer Fun

Brooke has been having an exciting last couple of months. In June she started crawling and hasn't stopped for a break yet. She's been to the lake (Maple Lake) twice and absolutely loves it. Well, both she and Cody love it. (Cody swims and swims and swims. Over the 4th we think he swam for 6 hours straight.)

Brooke also spent her first extended weekend with Grandma Wendy and Grandpa Kenny. Justin and I went to Vegas with friends for a few days. We sure had a lot of fun but definitely missed our little princess.

This weekend we are taking our first road trip east. (Usually we only go as far as Minot west, but now we are going to Minneapolis.) Justin's cousin is having a wedding celebration so we'll spend some time with his family.

I promise I'll get better about posting pictures. We've got a lot that are from the 4th of July so I'll get those up here soon.

Watch out Michael Phelps. I'm a swimming fool.

Love those baby blues.

I love the lake dad!

Future's Looking Bright

I totally look at blogs just to see the pictures of people. So, here's a taste of what I go to blogs for (more pics of Brooke Marie).

Easter 2009

My future's looking bright...I gotta wear shades.
Sweet. It's dinner time! (Can barely see it, but she's wearing a Twins onsie.)
All dressed up and I'm outa here!

It's me, Brooke!

Well, I just turned five months old and I'm getting ready to go to Grandma Wendy and Grandpa Kenny's for Easter (I hope I get to see the Easter bunny.). But, before we left, I wanted to send you a few of my favorite pictures from the last month. I just started sitting for the first time. Mom and Dad were pretty excited, but if the would ever put me down, then I would have shown them sooner. Now, the expect me to start rolling. Come on! Let me show you one new thing at a time so you don't have a heart attack from all the excitement.

There's another picture of me in an awful get-up. The tutu was fun. I wore that during my pictures with Shawna. But the flower headband. Really? That was going a little too far.

And, finally, I turned five months old this month. And, what did my parents give me. Prunes. Gross. But, I ate them like the champ I am. Toodles, Brooke

Look, I'm not even 5 months old and I can sit up by myself!

Nice headband mom.

Five months old and all you give me is prunes. Thanks alot.

Water Logged

Brooke loves ice water. Here's the video to prove it.

5 months

Brooke Marie is now five months old and can already sit up by herself. Actually, she's been doing that for the last two weeks now. The first time she did it, she looked up at us like, "Hey, I've been able to do this all along, you just never put me down long enough." HA. Now, we are on to learning the concept of rolling over.

She's also gotten the new nickname: Brooker von Bon Bon. Justin says she's being trained by Magnus ver Magnusson for the Worlds Strongest (person) Man Competition because of her size. Let me tell you what, her legs are like power houses. So, next time you are flipping through the channels and see a little person on TV pulling a semi, don't rub your eyes thinking it's a dwarf. That's just Brooker von Bon Bon.

I'll have to get some more recent photos from last weekend and a video or two posted. By the way, she growls now, too. What a gal!
